Robyn Rihanna Fenty or just Rihanna is best known as a singer and songwriter. She’s is seen as a global pop icon and one of the most influential contemporary recording artists. There probably isn’t anybody who never heard one of her hits in the charts. Anyway, we’re here not to talk about music, but fashion.

Born new designer in black

Despite being so popular, not everyone knows about Rihanna’s success and artistic way in the fashion industry. It’s been 4 years since she has taken the industry by storm with the Fenty x Puma collaboration. The singer-turned-fashion designer was surprisingly creative and ideally relevant to those times. Undoubtedly RiRi managed to take athletic wear brand to new heights and making a name in the fashion space.

“To be able to express yourself freely in a creative manner, it was special and it felt like the right place. I was excited to take on the challenge, and Puma, they’ve been around for a long time and they’re a legit sports brand. I feel like we were a match made in heaven.” — Rihanna explained.

The collection combined baggy sweatpants, oversized fur coats and backpacks, asymmetrical maxi dresses and sporty-looking stilettos. It was inspired by Japanese street culture with a few gothic tones. They used a lot of basic black color, white and grey.

Celebrating women’s bodies

Having such a triumphal start, the work and new experiments in Rihanna’s career went on. The new stage was a release of a lingerie line called Savage X Fenty. The brand is still live and well-known for the acceptance for any women body, celebrating its diversity and uniqueness. The brand’s values are fearlessness, confidence, and inclusivity.

“We want to make people look good and feel good,” explains Rihanna. She approaches Savage X with the same mentality she does all her projects — to make something new and fresh that everyone can relate to and feel confident in. It turned out to be pretty popular and well sold, uniting thousands of women around the world.

Innovative beauty for everyone

Becoming more and more profitable, RiRi’s business was growing. In September 2017 she is launching the makeup line Fenty Beauty. The new brand epically blew the market by its inclusivity, gathering 50 shades of foundation for different skin types. Fenty Beauty was named one of Time magazine’s best inventions of 2017.

Finally this year Rihanna has announced a big release of her own fashion line simply called Fenty. Sensational news shook the fashion world with wonder. Fenty is the first fashion label to be launched by LVMH, a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate headquartered in Paris. The company owns brands like Louis Vuitton, Celine, and Dior.

The collection was firstly showed in Paris on May 22 and then just in a week appeared online for the worldwide sales. Rihanna mentioned that she was always so tired to wait for a high fashion brand to come from the podium to real people, so decided to make it ready-to-wear.

“I am the muse of this brand and it is basically what I like to wear…I want it to look good on every body type” — Rihanna says. She mentions, that LVMH actually approached her and proposed to collaborate, so she couldn’t say no.

Rihanna prefers street and moody style. That’s why the first Fenty drop is sharp, structured and utilitarian. It has plenty of suiting and menswear-inspired silhouettes.

Except clothing, the collection includes jewelry, sunglasses, sandals, and caps. The sizes are ranging from 2/XS to 14/XXXL. Prices for clothing are starting from 250$ for a corset t-shirt to 1100$ for a suit jacket with a fanny pack. There are overall 18 looks shown in the capsule collection. All pieces are represented in 4 colors: black, white, pink and beige.
